Banana Nut Cake

When I lived in Michigan there was a bakery that made a fantastic banana nut cake.  I just felt like one the other day.   Walmart had some Duncan Hines Banana Cake Mixes and I tried one but it was a bit flat not much flavor.  So I tried again this time

I placed three ripe banana's in the mixing bowl and mashed them, mixing them with the eggs oil and water ( note the package called for 1 1/3 cups water I only used 1 cup as the banana's have a lot of water in them)  the cake mix called for.   Then I added a box of White Cake Mix,  and followed the directions, when finished mixing I added 3/4 cup chopped nuts and poured into the baking pan.

I did notice that with the extra moisture it took an additional 15-20 minutes for the cake to cook.  So make sure you check it with a toothpick to be sure its done.

Frosted with Vanilla frosting it tasted great.
