   SWISS CHEESE LOAF

This is a marvelous bread hors-d'oeuvre to take to a potluck, to have as a cocktail party appetizer, or to serve with soup and salad for lunch or supper.  And, if you like, you can add minced garlic to
the mixed ingredients.

1 loaf unsliced French or Italian bread
10 to 14 ounces sliced Swiss cheese
1/2 cup butter
1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
2 Tbsps. minced onion
2 tsps. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt

Cut off top crust of bread.  Slice loaf at an angle (not entirely through).  Stuff sheese
between slices of loaf; tie back together Mix remaining ingredients.  Spread over top
of loaf.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

Serves 10-12.
