Sangria

Sangria is great for parties.  One of the biggest things to me is that you can drink a lot of this on a hot afternoon whereas if you drink straight wine you would be carried home rather then driving.  I recommend using a good jug wine Gallo Hearty Burgundy or something like that.  The last time I made this a guest brought a bottle of Lambrusco (rather sweet and fruity) not my choice of drinking wines so we just dumped this in the punch and definitely improved the flavor.  <grin> 

      4         8      Lemons
      1          2      Lime
      1          2      Bottles Burgundy Wine
      2         4      Oranges
      1/2      1       cup Sugar
                          Ice Cubes

Juice Lemons and 1/2 of the Oranges.  Place juice in a small pan with the sugar and heat until boiling and the sugar is melted.  Place ice in the pitcher and pour cooled juice over.  Add lime slices and slices of remaining oranges.
